I miss your face
Not your laugh
Not your hands
Not you.
I miss your face.
Your face was like the sea back then.
And I a salty bearded sea captain. .
I could watch your face for hours
As the tides of peace and hate and lust
Came and went.
I miss your face these days.
These days when I wish I could sit upon the sand
And watch the tide
But I’m land locked now
Just as I was with you
But now I don’t have my land locked sea
To sit and admire
Peaceful in my talent
To read your land locked sea face.
