I tried to imagine what the world would be without you.
I tried to imagine if your dark swallowed up all the good I know in you
And you left us all here on this little blue marble.
Most people wouldn’t know why
But the whole world would feel a shift.
A break in the goodness of the world.
You have so much brilliance in you
That removal of that light
Would cause the whole world to suffer in darkness.
I tried to imagine what I would be without you
And I couldn’t see myself at all.
I would be nothing without who you helped me become.
So next time
Think of the people.
We need that light.
