Cracks

You start out as a babe – whole.

Some of us born with a small crack here or there

And then time wraps its hands around us.

Some of our cracks heal

But as we grow older more and more cracks from.

Cracks in hearts, cracks in bones, cracks in minds.

You can’t lead a completely safe life.

We will all crack.

And though I feel more put together than I have my whole life

I know my cracks are growing.

I am a flawed broken human being.

But that is what makes me most beautiful.
