I’ve told people you can’t return to the places you once loved.
Can’t return to those magic gold moments that shine in your memory.
But I’m here now and I can tell you this.
You can go back to the spot.
You can go back to the place.
Sit in the seat where the sun dripped pleasure upon you.
But it won’t be the same.
You’ll face the flashbacks of those moments,
You’ll feel the sun upon your skin
But it won’t warm your body.
No matter how much you want it to return
It never can.
So I bask in the atmosphere of my best days
But I know it’s only yet.
