I don’t know what you’re trying to say.
I read and reread your words but I still don’t get it.
I know you’ve got some teeth gritting troubles.
And I know you could use a friend.
But I can’t put my finger on it.
I don’t know what you’re trying to say.
And I’ve got my ear to the key hole
And I’m writing down the things your saying
Adding and subtracting, multiplying and dividing
But I was never good at math.
And the picture these words paint are blurry and dark
And if I could see clearly for once in my life
I’d help you.
But I can’t understand what you’re trying to say.
So I’ll sit here at your ceaseless wandering feet
And listen to the words you form into these clouds.
Should you need me I’m right here.
I’m here to help.
But I can’t understand what you’re trying to say.
