Late one night Amanda and I were talking about our feelings toward life and Amanda used the term goobly to describe how she was feeling. So gooblys are things inside of you, you don't like. It can be organs (like an unhappy stomach), characteristics (like the inability to wake up on time for class) or feelings (like feelings toward that one roommate who always leaves their dishes in the sink). And as we discussed what gooblys we had and what impact they had on our lives we decided that for everything there is an equal and opposite reaction. Therefore there must be the opposite of a goobly. We had no name for it until one afternoon, as Amanda walked home, it hit her. Pluffy.
Pluffys are things inside of you, you do like. It can be organs (like your pumping heart), characteristics (like the ability to cook) or feelings (like feelings toward that one roommate who said "welcome home" every time you came in).
But what about my liver? I don't feel particularly fond of my liver. It's there, it does its job, I appreciate that, but its not a source of joy. And then was born the neut. Something that holds neither love nor loathing from the person. There are certain laws and theories that goodlys and pluffys and neuts follow. But that is for another post.
