What's going on here?
Well Amanda and Emily both have goals to write more. Amanda wants to write a poem and a half a day for the next year, while Emily wants to write for National Write a Novel Month (NaNoWriMo), which is usually in November, but she is going to do it from now until her mission on May 18th. Here is were you can follow us in our goals! Leave comments, encouragement, and what ever else you feel like.

New Old Friend

I remember the days I loved you.
I’m not going to write another tongue in cheek
Romantic cliché
About how I never truly loved you.
I think I did.
From what I know of love,
And what I know of you,
I loved you full.
And I remember the days I hated you.
The days I wrote tongue in cheek
Romantic clichés
About how I never truly loved you.
How I loathed your core
And the way you could stroke my ego like a guitar string
And I would either shriek
Or sing.
And from what I know of hate,
And what I know of you,
I hated you in full.
But now we are beyond that.
We are beyond the ocean of sunshine or storms.
We are now the doldrums of an old friendship.
Worn strong and hard
Form fitted in ways that could take generations
That we made in just a year.
I do not love you,
In that way,
Anymore.
And I do not hate you,
In that way,
Anymore.
But rather I find myself missing you.
Missing the way we could sail the water ravines of friendship
On a little sailboat made out of common acquaintances.
