I hate these people who say something controversial
Just to get a rise.
And it’s not because I’m easily susceptible to it,
Because I am,
But because what they’re seeking is an emotional high.
Something that knocks them off their feet
And gives them the strength to get back up
But what they’re “feasting” on isn’t real emotion.
It’s manufactured packaged sticky sweet syrup salted to taste.
No, you want emotional high?
Try a slice of the big life.
The emotions cranked up to 11
Reasons cranked down to 0
And enjoy the ride.
Because that’s the way I try to live
And boy let me tell you.
