You called us a family.
Threw that word around enough
And it became a joke.
I know you didn’t meant to
But we laughed at the idea we were a family.
I’m stuck out here,
Out on the fringes,
Begging for my family.
A group of people I trust whole heartedly.
A group of people I call home.
So you called us a family.
But it’s been beating through my blood for awhile now.
