Tucking in Meanings

You say you read this.

These words I keep flashing across the screen.

You say you’ve heard the way I speak.

The way I trip over words full of love and lust

But I wonder if you hear ME behind it.

I wonder if you see each snuck syllable and symbol.

Or if its all just flash and bang to you.

If my tumbling tongue is just smoke and mirrors to you.

Because these words I write have got your name tucked between them.

But I’m tucking in the corners so no one sees.

But you say you read.

You say you understand,

But do you realize how much on you I depend.

I know to never love

But sometimes its nice to hold a hand.
