Staring at the Moon

I've always had a natural affinity for the moon. 

Everyone thinks they know it.
Could trace the arc of its light
But no one really does.
All just stars smattered so near
Near to eternity.
I've always insisted i'm alone
But I’m beginning to think
Maybe I’m not the only moon
Slung in the sky.
Not all the stars are
but there may be a few moons out there.
