The Reality of the Situation

I’ve done things wrong before.
I’m not delusional enough to think that I haven’t.
I know I’ve done things so wrong before
But I’ve also given you everything.
I’ve never held anything back from you.
Never denied you anything you wanted.
And I’m beginning to think that its because I just gave too damn much
That made you never care about me.
I don’t want to.
I want to be delusional enough to think that I was perfect
And so were you.
That we’re just too perfect beings
Swimming through an imperfect world
Not willing to love each other perfectly
Because the rest of the world wouldn’t get to share in it.
So my little perfection
I wish I still dreamed the way I did
When the stars and the antelope grazed upon my ceiling.
But now all I see is pale white plaster
And I wish

I could stop blaming you for things that are all your fault.
