She pinned pictures to the television screen
Trying to see herself mirrored somewhere else.
Begging that her hands weren’t singular singularities in the universe.
She stared so intently at the screens
Spread her hands so wide
Absorbing so much static energy
Until her hair stood straight up and her eyes glazed over.
Blind and static she died alone.
Never noticing the world behind her
Where there were so many hands
just like hers.
