I once wanted to write less personal pronouns.
Less I’s and Me’s.
But I know now.
I know I write the I’s because it’s all I know.
It’s all there is in this world.
All any of us know is the I’s.
No matter how much we proclaim the us, we’s and they’s.
So I’ll tattoo this personal pronoun on my wrist.
The needle dipping into the stream of my own blood
An I written from me.
