A half moon is shining down on me tonight.
It’s got a harvest yellow color.
Must be something in the air
Because every breath I take I am realizing something new.
And this
Thing.
For lack of a better word
Between us takes on new shape.
I thought I knew what it was.
I had felt alongst it’s curves with eyes tightly shut
And I guessed at it’s proportions.
But tonight I’m opening up my eyes.
And I’m seeing it.
Seeing it for what it really is.
And the breaths are getting shaky
And my heart is starting to race
But under this half moon thinking of the way things are between us
I almost feel safe.
