They think that once the right man comes along
All their problems will dissolve into the night sky.
They think once they find the right guy
Every sadness, tragedy, and weakness will float into the vacuum of space above.
But if I ever learned anything about love
is that it doesn't change the world.
It doesn't change the night to day
Or wrong to right
It simply dots the sky with stars to let in a little light.
Love doesn't shake the foundation
It paints the walls.
It doesn't change the nation
just helps you see the good in it all.
Sure love is a force for change
But not the way most people believe it.
It helps your point of view exchange
It changes the way you see it.
Love builds and breaks,
it helps but it doesn't make.
Cause love is force, but it has no hands.
Love can only do what you let it.
